Starbucks is one of the most amazing places on earth.  To my surprise the campus of SWIC has one.  I felt somewhat out of place upon first arriving here to BFE, IL.  According to Foursquare and unreliable directions from uninterested parties, the highlight of my morning on the weekend was becoming a trend of the past.  Then to my delight a very contemporary building was noticed from afar that a coffee shop by the name of Starbucks is within!
This place reminds me of what South Campus would be like without the ocean nearby.  Kyle of Aqua East would fit in here nicely.  I miss the oceanfront.  The icy, well to do people.  The elderly.  Big Lots.  The Disney Burnouts.  Life was so much different then, or was it?  BFE is my home now.  BFE has my mind and heart.  We had some good times in the swamp though.  #VEGAS

What was the season like I was blogging about during the drive from Fl?  What movies were out?  What were some priorities I had in mind.  I felt wealthy, why?  Empty rooms, stuff all out of sight.  Lots of potential, good energy, etc.
How come that newness seems to have worn off?  Time spent, different place, the gap between April and October.  Space invaders.  The distance and stuff and hospitality and accounts are all howling for attention.  The weather changed from mild and sunny to dark and cold.  Phones on planes and texting?  Woah.

What goes in must come out…

Like people were just doing stuff without needing me to tell them what to do.  I loved it.  Are people talking on their cell phones too much?  I don't know.

Is there too much 'self-talk' should be the question.

The kind of talk that happens when all conversations seem to be one-way and the fraction of interaction between two individuals seems to be muted and tuned out.  Like Kelly Ripa says, I can hear you chewing.  Where Anderson Cooper is horrified by bare feet.  I cant stand dirty window ledges.  Ive lost perception of just what being around someone else can be like.  that's what happened between April and October.  This consciousness is what is being shared.  This aggravation and adaptation.  A re-familiarization.

Trying to approach how to handle my enormous task of unpacking.  According to this out of reach planner I created, I'm going to stage cookware and kitchen ware before putting them away into the cabinets.  That's all nice and fine but the physical effort that will require doesn't peak my interest at this time.

I'm also not trying to waste the morning and make the wrong decisions later by not following the plan and goofing around later.

All the sight seeing I want to do is depending on getting some of these boxes unpacked.  I'm complaining and rebelling about the self-imposed restrictions I've set but as long as I'm able to generate a blog post, humor and muse my readers, it makes all the trouble worthwile.

Want to go to Walmart now and grab a few things but need to work on my appearance some.

My toiletries and clothes didn't get packed in a gymbag last night like I wanted to.

I also forgot to pack a lunch for myself to avoid the drive thru.

Did however accomplish some kitchen unpacking.  Noticing several items that don't really have a place yet that are staying boxed up for now.

This combo utility room/garage space has so much potential.  The cars  have been camping out on the driveway since the movers were here.  Really wanting to move this stuff around to get the autos back into the garage.

Without incident the Honda made it through the trip!  She's amazing.  She's here looking content and keeping her act together for me, enjoying her spot in the garage and short trips around the area.

The first few days of being in the new house were amazing, then the stuff I haphazardly packed from the previous house arrived.

Its been weeks since the initial road trip here from Duval.  Glad to be off the road.  Rhonda is too.

We stopped every 289 miles or so to fill up the tanks.  Rhonda's fuel gage doesn't work so we need to keep an eye on trip distance.  The station pump print out read 19.4 gallons.  Not quite a gas guzzler but definitely something to pay attention to.

From Clarksville to Belleville the overnight stop was much needed.  We rested from 3am until 8am.  The dogs slept in the car.

Stopped for breakfast in Codiz, Kentucky at a shell station for coffee.  I was in a good mood but spilled coffee in the other car putting the non coffee drinker into a sour mood.

Looking back, the notes I wanted to jot down while driving to keep me awake and engaged along with the 5MB of music I uploaded only lasted a few hours into the trip.  My mobile phone kept shutting off and I was growing furious.  The disgust was thick since my backseat was place for 3 fidgety dogs.

All the cool kids have the auxiliary or Bluetooth option on their car stereo.  My Honda doesn't so I improvised.  At the house I plug in my MP3 player to the stand alone computer speakers and unplug my ear buds.  The concept works as a substitute car audio system however we had more vehicle luggage than I planned for and the speakers didn't get fit properly as stuff was being arranged.

I was so exhausted from the cleaning and packing.  Remembering all the odds and ends; like putting a for sale sign up and tracking mileage and remembering to be pleasant and thankful just didn't come across clearly the first couple hours of the stay at our new residence.

Its like the remnants of this long exhaustive trip revealing itself as the oncoming of a bad head cold.  No matter how hard I try to fight or ignore it the more it wants to just run its course and knock me the hell out.
Endless unpacking-frantic cleaning to keep the new place from getting trashed and carrying old messy habits.

All I need sometimes to remind myself of the amazing vision of Church I grew to love and cherish.  Compassionately the women in this community come together once a year and pray favor, love, goodness toward Believers.  I am blessed through this and pray a blessing reaches you.  Faithfully serve where you are as these women have and continue to do.
